Canada Introduces Express Entry Program to Fast Track Visa Processing

The Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration department will introduce a new electronic system referred as Express Entry in January 2015, in order to handle Canada Permanent resident visa applications in specific economic programs and speed up the Canada PR processing time.
Canada requires high level of immigration to fulfill present and upcoming labor market requirements that guarantees country’s economic growth and enduring prosperity.
The Express Entry program enables to dynamically employ, assess and hire skilled migrants under the various Canada federal economic immigration programs such as Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Using the Express Entry program territories and provinces will also be capable to employ applicants for a for a section of the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) to fulfill native labor market needs. Under the Express Entry system, Canadian employers also play a crucial role in choosing economic immigrants. Employers will also access applicants via Job Bank and by territories and provinces where the Express Entry program is relevant.
The Express Entry program will be carried out in two steps.
Step1: Applicants need to complete their Express Entry profile through online.
Prospective individuals should complete an online Express Entry profile by providing details such as work experience, education, skills, language ability, and others. Individuals who fulfill the necessary criteria in any of the immigration programs related to Express Entry will be sited in to the pool of candidates.
Candidates will be given ranks and the top ranked candidates with eligible offers will be welcomed to apply for a Canada PR.
If applicants don’t have a genuine employment offer from an employer or provincial or territorial nomination, they must enroll themselves with the Job Bank that connects them with eligible Canadian employers.
Eligible Canadian employers must hold Labor Market Impact Assessment, which is received from Employment and Social Development Canada.
Step 2: The specific applicants will be invited by CIC to apply for Canada PR and process their electronic permanent visa applications within a period of six months.
Applicants will get 60 days time to submit Canada PR application through online under any of the skilled immigration programs.
If applicants do not get their Invitation to apply for Canada permanent residence after the period of 12 months they can resubmit their profile and re-enter in to the pool if they meet the eligibility criteria. This condition will avert backlogs and guarantee fast processing times.

What is EU Blue Card

The Blue Card is an approved EU-wide work permit (Council Directive 2009/50/EC) allowing high-skilled non-EU citizens to work and live in any country within the European Union, excluding Denmark, Ireland and the United Kingdom, which are not subject to the proposal.

Objectives

The EU Blue Card Scheme is designed to make Europe a more attractive destination for highly educated persons from outside the European Union. All EU member states, except the United Kingdom, Denmark and Ireland, participate in the EU Blue Card scheme.

Highly qualified persons have opted in the past for destinations such as the United States, Canada or Australia. The European initiative has a number of distinctive qualities that will help Europe become the world's most favourite
migration destination:

  • Working and salary conditions equal to nationals
  • Free movement within the Schengen area
  • Entitlement to a series of socio-economic rights
  • Favourable conditions for family reunification
  • Permanent residence perspective
  • Freedom of association

Conditions

The EU Blue card Network enables you to create a profile for potential employers to consult, and a platform to electronically submit the Blue Card application.

Three key conditions are to be met in order to request the EU Blue Card.

  • Non-EU citizenship
  • Completed higher-education
  • Work contract or binding job offer
